This film witten By Danny was made into Hindi Film Bandhu . Later it was released as a TV serial Ajnabee in India National channel. i have the cassette of it in which the songs are translated to Hindi Sounds bad ...but may be I am biased since i love the nepali versions .. be it Suna Katha Euta Geet or that drunken-clan song Amaile Bhante Dharako Pani. Ok So we are having Tulsi Ghimire Marathon now LOL.. Next up is Lahure. This movie released when theaters were only showing hindi films. Since there was scarcity of theater in kathmandu that time it was released in Bhrikuti Mandap Video Hall ! And boy did this film clicked! .... ran for 75 weeks in the same dingy hall. Has nice chartbusters of its time especially that Narayan Gopal classic Beerata Ko Chino. Damn I miss Narayan Gopal!
Another Tulsi Ghimire Film From 80's . His films always have nice songs Kusume Rumal to Darpan Chaya I am yet to hear bad songs from his films. Probably because choice of Music didrector alsoplays key role for good music I think. Surprisingly Ranjit Gajamer who worked in R D Burman troupe gives so Nepali music and Music By Sambhujit Baskota who stays in Nepal sounds like a hindi film song. Talk about irony!

One of the few Nepali soundtrack that had a song that was in top of the charts for a complete 1.5 years. The song in question "Mohani Lagla Hai" sung by our legend Narayan Gopal. And though i think Asha Bhosle doesnot pronounce the Nepali words correctly in many songs She did a bang on job in this one. To add, I also think it was one of the handful of well picturized Nepali soundtrack. Has anyone seen this or remember ? Please drop a comment.Soundtrack list

One of the early films from Nepali Film Factory. Indian actress of Nepali origin Mala Sinha ( Born to Bengali-Nepali parents) acted as the lead. C.P Lohani, her husband, acted as well as got chance to croon some songs.. never saw him after that film though. The title track was apparently very famous. The place where it was shot was rechristened as Maitighar which is a pretty well known spot in Kathmandu now.. Hmm didnt know that before!
